Critically wounded between Sannerville and Troarn. Only survived because a Canadian found him and realised he was still alive. He recovered and lived a full life back home in Manchester. "With the help of a local historian and some detailed map coordinates we stood in the place where he was wounded between Sannerville and Troarn". Rob Bowie 2024
