Robert Lang was born in June 1909 in Glasgow. His mother was Rachael Young from Whifflet.
He enlisted in March 1928 in Glasgow and was 5 foot 8 and weighed 108lbs. His eyes were brown and hair is described as fair.
He married Florence Westphal in April 1938 in tottenham.
He served with the BEF between October 1939 and May 1940.
After being wounded in Normandy he spent the rest of the War in the UK on home duty.
On the 15th December 1944 he was awarded the C-M-C's Certificate for Gallantry.
From November 1945 to June 1954 he is listed a 'Z' A G Res. Robert spent nearly 27 years serving with the KOSB.
