Laurie

Ronald Edward Laurie was born in 1911 in Glencairn. His Mother's maiden name was Campbell.

He had an entry in the London Gazette on the 15 March 1940.

He married Rosemary L Fullerton in July 1941 in Newcastle.

In April 1944 he commanded the road advance party for Exercise HANDS UP, the Battalion's move from Selkirk to its pre-invasion camp near Wickham, Hampshire, and led the Brigade convoy south.

He died in October 1952 in Newcastle upon Tyne, at the age of 41
