The Bn was at short notice to move but late in the evening orders were received to move the following morning.


Our own arty were active during the day, and allied aircraft continuously passed over the area.

Quiet night; no enemy activity in area.


1400 Comd and BM visited Div and received orders for the move to FORET L’EVEQUE 6351 and were infm that no move of main bodies would be instituted before 0600 hrs 4 Aug.


Recce parties moved off at 1815 hrs and the bde was placed at 2 hrs’ notice to move.
