Robert W.B Watret JNR was living in Kirkmahoe, Dumfries in August 1950 when his medals were awarded. He is listed as finishing his service with The Cameron Highlanders.


His wounds were treated by medics from the 2nd Royal Ulster Rifles who fought side by side with the 1st KOSB in Normandy.
