Andrew Wilson Stevenson was born in October 1917 in Yetholm, Northumberland.
He enlisted in Jan 1940 and was posted to 1st KOSB in June 1940.
He married Elizabeth M Hinson in Northumberland only a month before setting off to Normandy.
He was returned to the UK after being wounded and eventually posted to 4th KOSB in October 1944. It looks like he was wounded again in Nov 1944 and evacuated to the UK.
Andrew was discharged from the Army in February 1946.
