Pte Ronald Hamilton

Ronald Hamilton was born in August 1923.


He originally joined The Royal Scots in September 1941, in Edinburgh and was transferred to The Cameronians in Feb 1943.


He was 18 when he joined up and was 5 foot 8 and weighted 148lbs. He had blue grey eyes and brown hair.


He joined the ranks of 1st KOSB in March 1944.


He was discharged from the Army in January 1947. He is listed as serving with The Cameron Highlanders at that time.


He was living in Edinburgh when his medals were awarded in July 1950.
