Lt J D Catleugh

Jon Denis Harwood Catleugh originally from King's Lynn. Born in April 1916. Had a wife and baby daughter at time of his wounds. After being wounded in the D-Day landings/campaign, Catleugh went on to become an Abstract artist. He died in 2009. Recorded as Acting Lt J D H 'Catleagh' on FMPast wounded list.


An item in the Lynn Advertiser (Norfolk) 23 June 1944 stated he had:


"One leg broken between the knee and the ankle, and with shrapnel in the other thigh." His leg was set in France before he was brought back across the Channel - then re-set upon his return.
