Herbert William Wingar was born in July 1912.


Prior to the war he was a Bricklayer living in Ongar, Essex with his wife, Priscilla.


He was discharged from the Army in August 1946.


Herbert died in August 2002 in Chelmsford, Essex, at the age of 90.
