Robert Stewart Wallace was born in November 1923 in Edinburgh.


He enlisted in June 1942 so has a 'General Service Number'. He was posted to 9th KOSB in November 1942. His trade is listed as a 'Clerk'


In 1943 he was classified as a Signaller and posted to 1st KOSB.


*On the night before D-Day, Robert and his comrades in Signals signed a 50 Franc Note.

He was evacuated to the UK after being wounded and moved around before rejoining his unit.


He was part of The Cameronians regiment when he finished his service in January 1947.
