WEAR YOUR STRIPES ON D-DAY to honour veterans, and those KIA during the Normandy Campaign, 1944.

June the 6th 1944, was the start of Operation Overlord - or D-Day, as it has come to be known.

Prior to the invasion, every aircraft that would take part had to have Black and White recognition stripes painted on to their wings and fuselage to limit any friendly fire from the armada of ships crossing the English Channel. Each year, show your recognition of the bravery and sacrifice of the men and women involved in the operation by wearing your stripes on social media.
