DUMFRIES (ST. MICHAEL'S) CEMETERY

Dumfries (St. Michael's) Cemetery lies between Aldermanhill Road and Craigs Road in Dumfries. The local heritors opened it to take pressure off the crowded old St Michael's Churchyard, and it later passed into the ownership of the Town Council. The cemetery holds the graves of 57 identified Commonwealth service personnel from the First and Second World Wars.
