Awaiting photo

Kasterlee War Cemetery stands on the Venheide, just outside Kasterlee in the province of Antwerp, opposite the windmill on the road towards Geel. It holds men who died in the fighting to cross the Meuse-Escaut Canal during the first three weeks of September 1944. The Royal Scots, the King's Own Scottish Borderers and the Royal Scots Fusiliers have the most graves here. Designed by Philip Hepworth, the cemetery contains 100 Commonwealth burials of the Second World War, three of them unidentified.
