Dunfermline Cemetery lies east of the town centre, with its main entrance on Halbeath Road just behind the football ground. It was laid out in 1863 and enlarged in 1908, and its gateways and walls are Category C listed. It contains more than 100 First World War and more than 40 Second World War Commonwealth war graves. The First World War burials are grouped in a plot near a Cross of Sacrifice on a raised mound, while most Second World War graves are scattered across the cemetery.
