KIEL WAR CEMETERY

Find a Grave - Gerald
Kiel War Cemetery lies about 100 metres inside the main entrance of the Nordfriedhof (North Cemetery) on Westring, in Kiel, northern Germany. Designed by Philip Hepworth, it holds 983 Commonwealth burials of the Second World War, 96 of them unidentified, together with nine Polish war graves. Most of those buried here are airmen lost on bombing raids over northern Europe, whose graves were brought in from across Schleswig-Holstein, the Frisian Islands and north-west Germany.
