No enemy movement reported by standing patrols during daylight.
Civilians were seen shortly before mid-day walking along the railway waving white flags.
Shortly after 1800 hrs there were several reports of movement of enemy vehicles in the village at 800321, Eastwards and in SMAKT 800316. These targets were quickly engaged by 33 Fd Regt.
A Coy recce patrol reported enemy in the orchard on the East of the railway at 799320. Fires were reported in the area of the signal box 796334 and in area of houses 793312.
Nebelwerfers were active on our front at 1620 hrs and at 2050 hrs.
Capt H Henderson was wounded and evacuated.
Major AJ Rennie returned from the FDS and took over D Coy again.
