BRUSSELS TOWN CEMETERY

Awaiting photo
Brussels Town Cemetery was established in 1874 and lies in Evere, on the north-east side of Brussels. It holds a memorial and crypt to British officers killed at Waterloo in 1815. Most of the Second World War burials are of men who died on lines of communication duties after Brussels was liberated in September 1944, together with airmen lost over Belgium and soldiers of the 1940 campaign. The cemetery also contains a Field of Honour for Belgian airmen.
