Awaiting photo
St Mary's Church stands on the corner of Wakefield Road and Church Lane in the village of Swillington, south-east of Leeds. A church on this site is recorded in the Domesday Book. The present Grade II* listed building dates mainly from the late fourteenth century, and its tower was rebuilt in the 1880s. The churchyard holds three Commonwealth war graves: one from the First World War and two from the Second World War.
