ARBROATH WESTERN CEMETERY
The Mortuary Chapel is the central feature of the Western Cemetery, which was laid out in 1867. The Chapel was built in 1875, by Patrick Allan Fraser of Hospitalfield. It was dedicated to the memory of John Fraser. The Chapel was available for services of any denomination and was used extensively soon after its erection. However, it is no longer in use, the interior has been closed and sealed, with all entrances secured and protected.
