MUNSTER HEATH WAR CEMETERY

Awaiting photo
Munster Heath War Cemetery lies within the Waldfriedhof Lauheide, a civilian woodland cemetery at Telgte, just east of Münster. It can only be reached on foot, about a 15-minute walk from the main entrance. The cemetery is on the line of the Allied advance across northern Germany in 1945, but most of those buried here died while serving with the Army of Occupation after the German surrender. It contains 589 Commonwealth burials of the Second World War and 277 post-war graves.
