In Etrepagny we enjoyed considerable comfort, dances were held, dinner parties given, and the locals challenged at football and basketball. The performances by the Pipes and Drums sealed the popularity of the Battalion and the only drawback was that the local girls inevitably brought their whole family with them to the dances, from aged grandparents to children in arms.
