Patrick Cecil McLaughlin was born in May 1912 in Saskatchewan, Canada. His father was Darby Bergin McLaughlin and Mother, Teresa Margret Kennedy.

He married Marie Blanche Gaynor in 1940 in Edmonton, Alberta.

Joined KOSB on 15 April 1944.

It looks like he went back to Canada in 1945 but there is an Outward Passenger list for May 1953 with him and his family sailing from England on the 'Empress of Scotland' to Montreal.
