Sjt A.C. Cox

Albert Charles Cox was born in January 1916 in Harwich, Essex.


He enlisted in February 1939 at Fordingbridge and has 5/7th Bttn Hampshire Regt detailed as his first post. He was acting Sergeant by October 1940 and made full Sergeant in Jan 1943.


He was posted to 1st KOSB on 11th June 1944 and wounded a couple of days later. He was fit for duty by December 1944 and posted to 7th Bttn (Airborne) KOSB - ending up in Norway in May 1945.


Albert was discharged from the Army in February 1946.
