Pte E. H. Pugh

Ernest Hayden Pugh was born in Carmarthen, Wales in July 1914.

He married Doris May Thomas in November 1933.

Ernest enlisted into the Welch Regiment in June 1940. He was 5ft 4.5 inches and weighed 134.5lbs. He had brown hair and brown eyes. He was a Van Driver before the War.

*He was only transferred to 1st KOSB on the 18th June 1944 and was wounded 4 days later. It looks like he didn't rejoin the regiment after that and was moved around.

He was released from duty from the BAOR in May 1946.

Private Pugh's medals were awarded in June 1954. He was living in Eastbourne, Sussex at this time.
