Pte Robert Alcorn

Robert Alcorn was born in Donegal in Ireland in April 1911.


He enlisted in September 1940 in Edinburgh and was 5 foot 6 and 3/4 with blue yes and fair hair. He weighed 141lbs.


After recovering from his wounds, he was posted to serve with 4th Bttn KOSB in September 1944.


Robert was discharged from the Army in January 1945 and was still serving with 4th KOSB at that time.


At the time of his medal award - February 1950 - he was living in Glasgow.
