Pte Walter Moodie

Walter Moodie was born in 1914 in Tranent, near Edinburgh, Scotland.


His Mother's maiden name was Lawson, Father's name was also William.


Walter married Emily Catherine McGill (nee Turnbull) on the 7th April 1944, just 2 months before D-Day.


At the time his medals were awarded in November 1948, Walter was living in Glasgow.


Walter died in 1992 in Old Kilpatrick a few miles outside of Glasgow, at the age of 78.
