Pte J.T. Ashcroft

John Thomas Ashcroft was born in April 1919 in South Shields, Tyne & Wear. His Mother's maiden name was Stephens.


In the 1939 Register he was living in the Durham area and was a 'mixer in a biscuit factory'.


He married Dorothy M Watt in July 1943, in Eton, Buckinghamshire.


He was discharged from the Army in March 1945 and at the time of his medals being awarded, was living in Slough.


John died in September 2002 at the age of 83.
