William Liddle Shanks was born in 1918 in Carriden near Falkirk, Scotland. His Mother's maiden name was Liddle.


Sadly, William was killed in Germany on the 27th February 1945 and is buried in the Reichswald Forest War Cemetery. His entry on FindaGrave can be found here.
