Pte R.J. King

Robert John King was born in 1920 in Urr, Dumfries.


He joined the Army before the War and was in France in 1940 and was evacuated from Dunkirk.


He was discharged from the Army in March 1946 and was awarded his medals in 1950.


In 1952 he married Mary Jane McDonald in Dalbeattie.


Robert died in 1985 at the age of 64.
