William George Tait McGovern was born in September 1914 in Hawick, Scotland. His Mother's maiden name was Tait.
He married Dorothy E Field in April 1942 in Watford, Herts.
Re: his wounds on 6th August. Official War docs state, 'Not a battle casualty'.
William died in January 1989 in Watford, at the age of 74.
