James Wedderburn was born in October 1912 and was a Farm Labourer before the War.
He enlisted at Coldstream barracks in March 1932. His home town is listed as Millfield, Northumberland. He was 5 foot 8.5 inches and weighed 147lbs. His eyes were blue and hair is described as 'fair'.
He embarked with the BEF in October 1939.
He married Catherine Marshall in February 1941 in Tooting, London.
It looks like he remained in the UK after being wounded in Normandy.
James was posted to the 10th Highland Bttn in June 1945 and then discharged from the Army in December 1945.
At time of medal awards - January 1949 - he was living in Balham in London.
