Clarence Howell joined the Royal Scots and was demobbed from them in 1950. (He must have served with 1st KOSB in Normandy as a 'reinforcement' to be listed in their casualty docs)
Born in Feb 1923 his trade was listed as a 'Capstan Lathe Hand' in the 1939 register and was living in Birmingham with his parents (Violet and Edward) and brother (Henry).
He died in Birmingham in December 2001 at the age of 78.
