Pte T.H. Elliott

Thomas Henry Elliot was born in 1915 in Bolton, Lancashire. Son of James and Eliza Elliott (nee Chambers).


In the 1939 Register his occupation is listed as 'General Labourer' and living in Horwich, Lancs.


He married Irene E McQaude (who was born on Christmas Day, 1918) in October 1939.


He joined the Royal Artillery in 1940.


Thomas was wounded whilst serving with 1st KOSB in Normandy and then again in February 1945.


Thomas died in March 1946 in Italy as the 'result of an accident' whilst serving with the 2nd Bttn Queens Own Cameron Highlanders. He is buried in Padua War Cemetery.
