Intermittent shelling and mortaring during the early hours of the morning.
Patrols to the railway line during the day reported very little enemy movement.
C Coy patrol to the NW of the MOLENBEEK were held up by the light from a burning haystack, but could see no signs of the suspected positions on this side of the MOLENBEEK. The enemy were firing MG rifles and grenades in the direction of VIERLINGSBEEK from the far side of the MOLENBEEK. Noise of voices and tracked vehicles moving was also heard.
B Coy patrol heard tracks moving in the area of HOTEL VICTORIA (HOEVE VICTOR).
Other patrols reported nothing of consequence.
(Sgt Clark of B Coy was killed).
